Starting to return to Canada

We are starting our annual return trip to CanadaOn Wednesday Morning at 6:00 AM. The windy warning was cancelled. finally start our trip leaving our condo in the Deauville in Palm springs. Ca. after trying since last Sunday. the weather was wonderful all day. We made good time driving to Jeanne's house in Houston. TX. We arrived in El Paso at 5:30 PM. Actually it is 6:30 PM with the time change. We stop in at the Texes welcome Centre. Which was closed. when I ask the security guy that was there. He said he does have some motel discount booklet in his trunk and he gave me a couple. We found a Quality Inn offer a discounted room for $49.99. which we stay for the night. It was a nice ground floor room with 2 double beds. We were offered a free hot breakfast of Orange Juice. Scrambled egg with bacons and sausage with 2 pancakes and coffee. It is a nice deal. We left the Inn at 7:30 AM driving to Houston. I cruise at about 82 MPH. since the speed limit is 80 MPH. and there was hardly any traffic on the road. and the weather is very nice. On the way. I was stop and received a warning ticket for going over the 80 MPH speed limit. No fine. Strangely enough. that he give me a warning ticket for 2 miles over limit with no fine. It started to rain just before we get to San Antonio. and the limit was now 70 MPH. so I continue to cruise at 69-70 MPH. Arrived at Jeanne's house safely at about 8:30 PM with losing an hour with time change. We planned to leave Houston early morning on Monday. Driving to St. Petersburg. Fl. with a stop over for 2 nights in New Orleans. LA. should arrive to our condo on Wednesday evening. We expect to stay there until Monday April 16/07 before heading back to Canada.

We are quite comfortable staying in our condo in Palm Springs. CA. Our New landline Phone #760-320-5428. New Cell Phone # 310-908-7655. Our New address is Kent Ing. 500 E. Amado Road. Unit 523. Palm Springs. CA. 92262-0012. USA. Since there is a 3 hour difference in our time zone as compare to EST. The best time to call is 10:00 to Noon EST. I guess due to the drier climate in Palm Springs. Vi. have not been complaining of pain in her knee and hip anymore.

It has been a long time since my last Blog. It has been over 2 month since we return to our home in Gravenhurst. I have been keeping myself very busy and did not seems to have anything acomplished. We have spent more time in Lagoon City to try to glow some Chinese vegetable. and keeping up with volunteer work with the lions and the Gravenhurst chamber of commerce in Gravenhurst.. Finally have the Office side of the Kent TV building rented to a Dollar store. Because. There is over 40 years of junks left on that side of the store. Office and repair department. I seem to take forever to clean it out and move everything down to the basement of the new part. ( the part that faces the Opera House) But I am making progress. it s slow. But I am making progress. Hopefully I will get everything done by the end of the summer. Get a really backach in Lagoon City on Friday just before supper time. I do not remember doing anything heavy to trigger such a backach, I suffered through the weekend with the pain and see Dr. Irvine on Tuesday late afternon after return to Gravenhurst. My Docter DR. Gair is on holiday for 3 weeks. he subscripte some pills for me. Seems to getting better after 3 pills and did not feel anymore pain.

Finally arrived to palm Springs.

Palm Springs. Ca.

We Finally left Houston on Thursday afternoon.3/9/06. After sitting in the Continental Air plane, suppose to leave at 10:50 AM. We were sitiing in the plane lining up on the runway for over 1.1/2 hour before we took off. We Arrived in L. A. about 3:00 PM Instead of 1:30 PM. We stay with Ben & family until Saturday morning before we leave for Palm Spring. Ca. We had a lovely time with the Grandchildren Owen & Madeleine. They have grown up a lot since we saw them the last time. We stop in to spent some time with Vi's sister and Brother in Law on the way to Palm Springs. Ca. It was cold and raining on & off. We arrived into our condo in the Deauville about 5:00 PM. It continued to rain in the evening. So we had supper, unpack and went to bed. Woke up about 6:00 AM on Sunday morning with a bright cold beautiful sunshine shining through the big window. The Sun was hot. We went for a walk around the condo and finally start to clean up and get everything set up for our 2 week stay in the condo.

Jeanne Left for Beijing

Drove Jeanne to the Bush International Airport at 4:00 AM this morning to fly Continental Airline to Beijing via Newark Airport in New Jersey. She should arrived in Beijing in a little over 18 hours. I am getting over my Shingle slowly. Feel a lot better today with just a little pain.

Arriving in Houston. TX.

Left Bermuda Bay condo in St. Petersburg at 9:00 AM on Sunday 2/5/06. and driving to Houston. TX. with the New Hondo Odyssey Van fully loaded. The Odyssey really handles well with the stabilizer. When I was doing about 80 to 85. m/h. it feel like I was only doing 65 m/h on the old Dodge Grand Caravan. Traffic was light. Everybody was doing 80 to 85 m/h. Had to by passed New Orleans on I-12 instead of the usual I-10. Check into La Qunta about 9:00 Pm in Lafayette, La. overnight. Arriving in Jeanne's house in Houston about 11:00 AM Monday. Will stay here until March 10th before flying to Los Angeles. We are booked to fly Continental Airline March 10th Houston to Los Angeles. and return on April 10th. Los Angeles to Houston.

Found a good fare on Continental Airlines Houston to L.A. return of $388.20 including all taxes for both of us. Confirm # ULWJ44. Leaving Houston Friday March 10/06 3:48PM. arriving L.A. 5:30PM. Returning to Houston from L.A. on Monday April 10/06 9:15AM. Arriving Houston 2:32PM.
