Fri. Sept. 2: Michael McDonald at Casino Rama

David and Diana decided to take the Taipan Tours bus from Victoria Park and Lawrence, because returning on the 12 a.m. bus was more appealing than returning on the 2 a.m. bus.

Sat. Sept. 3: Replacing the router

Dragging ourselves out of bed in the morning, the boys were complaining that the Internet was down.  I booted the Thinkpad, tried accessing the router, and then went the basement.  The verdict:  our SMC router finally died.

Sun. Sept. 4: Pruning the tree

The huge linden tree in front of the house is part of the city's forestry, but the little tree in front of the kitchen was put in to give a bit more shade to the window.

Mon. Sept 5: Installing SSH on Labour Day

I've tried to keep the server in our basement relatively secure, so there's never been FTP (File Transfer Protocol) access to upload files outside the house.

Tues. Sept. 6: Orlando, Disney Coronado Resort

David's presentation to the IBM Consulting Leadership Exchange was accepted, so he's flown down to Orlando for the week.

Sat. Sept. 10: Renewal of vows, and outlet shopping

David and Diana were so stressed out in preparing for Adam's voyage to Beijing, that the annual renewal of vows was deferred.

We haven't played badminton since mid-August, when George Brown College closes up to redo the gym floors.

Tues. Sept. 13: Woodsworth College booksale and music at the Red Guitar

David has had a bit of a break this week and have been writing at home.  Diana has been working at the stamper's distribution centre.

After dinner, David waited to see if any of the boys wanted to go to badminton, but Eric was probably still on his way back from Vaughan, and Noah and Ryan were working on homework.
